Is there be a wedding block?

How far is the Westin from the airport?
17 miles, 25-35 minutes
What area would you suggest to look into for Airbnbs or other hotels outside the wedding block?
It is important to us that all our friends and family stay in the same place. We did a lot of research deciding on the best hotel for the block to accomplish this. We will only be providing transportation to/from the Wedding from the Westin. However, we understand you may want to look into other options. We suggest looking at the Sheraton New Orleans, The Marriott New Orleans, Four Seasons Hotel, and Hilton New Orleans Riverside. As for Airbnb's we suggest looking at ones in the French Quarter.
Will there be a Welcome Party?
Yes, we are doing a welcome party on the Creole Queen paddle boat. They board at 6:15pm and depart at 7:00pm. Please purchase tickets at https://www.creolequeen.com/tours/jazz-cruise . Use PROMO code: LarsenGrubb
For guests that prefer to meet after, we are doing another get together at the Westin Observatory Bar on the 11th floor from 9:00pm to 10:30pm.
What is the attire for the ceremony and reception?

What time are the events on Saturday 3/23/24?
The ceremony is at 6:30pm and the reception to follow immediately after. We are having both the ceremony and reception at the same venue!
Any suggestions on what to do while we wait for the bus to Southern Oaks?
The Westin has a live music cocktail hour starting at 4pm at Observatory Eleven on the 11th Floor. The buses will depart for Southern Oaks at 5:45pm.
What time do the buses leave from the Westin to Southern Oaks?
The buses will depart for Southern Oaks (7816 Hayne Blvd) at 5:45pm. Please take the elevators to the first floor lobby - the buses will be located outside in the Valet roundabout.
How far is the hotel to the Wedding Venue?
Transportation will be provided from the Westin to Southern Oaks. Southern Oaks is 10 miles (20-25 minutes) from the Westin.
How is dinner being served at the Reception?
We are not doing a formal sit-down dinner. No assigned seating and no waiting to be served! Instead, over 80+ hot and cold Hors d'oeuvres and entrees will be served continuously throughout the evening. There will be tables available to sit and eat if you prefer. A true Southern style reception!
Are there any events happening after the Reception?
We are providing transportation from Southern Oaks back to the Westin. The Westin is a couple blocks from Bourbon St and less than a mile from Frenchman St. For guests that would like to continue the celebration, we will discuss a meet up location soon.
